May is the Young Lawyer Division of the Florida Bar’s Health and Wellness Month, and FAWL wishes to improve the health of our members by challenging each of you to get more sleep! We invite our members to participate in a sleep challenge. During this extremely stressful time where many of us are attempting to work full-time while caring for our children full-time, getting restful sleep can be quite difficult. Anxiety is one of the top inhibitors of a good night’s sleep. Our goal is to provide members with tools to calm that anxiety during those hours we should be sleeping.
In this challenge, we ask members to track their sleep, using technology or not, each night for the first two weeks of May. We will then release a video on May 18, which will provide tips for getting better sleep. Members will then track their sleep the next two weeks after implementing the anxiety-reduction strategies. FAWL hopes that through this challenge, our members will enter the month of June better rested and healthier. Good luck, and we look forward to hearing about your success!!
